HONEY THERAPY

Honey could also be considered as a drugs with nutritive value instead of being simply a food with medicinal value.
Honey is employed for the treatment of dry eyes and blepharitis and that we expect to ascertain more products on the market soon. We routinely recommend manuka honey eye drops for the management of moderate to severe dry disease also as recurrent infections in both contact wearers and non-contact lens wearers.
They can safely be used a day to manage chronic dry eye or may be a dress hat treatment to urge things back in check once they get out of hand.
The honey utilized in this study was a carbohydrate content of the Egyptian clover honey of 78,4 g/100 g pH 3,7 and 18,8 percent humidity. The honey content was 37.8 and 30.2 g percent respectively in fructose and glucose. Beginnering on October 3, 2002, all the medicines had been stopped and honey was taken empirically 2 gm / kg / day, taking the load of 75 kg i.e. 150 gm (125 ml) of sweetheart daily. The daily dose of fifty ml (60 gm) of honey was dissolved into water and administered twice each day before meals. For sweetening purposes, the remaining 25 ml (30 gm) were used. Honey dissolution in water increases honey's anti-microbial properties, allows swallowing and dose adjustment. With 3 kcal per gm of sweetness, this daily dose of sweetness produced 450 kcal. This calorie wasn't faraway from his food because he had no certain diet restrictions except food preservatives and add-ons, drinks and sweets.
