Skin Allergies Open Access Journals

Allergic skin reactions are caused by many reasons. Atopic Dermatitis, hives and Allergic contact dermatitis are the most common types of skin allergies. In Atopic Dermatitis skin may become red, irritated and itchy. Atopic Dermatitis is often linked with food allergy, allergic rhinitis and asthma. Sometimes small, fluid-filled bumps are formed on the skin. Hives are the red bumps that appear on the body when the immune system releases histamine. Allergic contact dermatitis occurs when your skin comes in direct contact with an allergen. Swelling in deep layers of skin is called angioedema which occurs together with hives. Allergic dermatitis occurs when the skin comes into direct contact with an allergen. Touching clothing, pets, chemicals, soaps, and substances like poison ivy or cosmetics can trigger allergies .. Food allergies also can cause the skin to itch.Red, bumpy, itchy skin can be irritating, painful and embarrassing. Rashes are often caused by many things, including exposure to certain plants (poison ivy, for example), allergies to a medicine or a food. Rashes also can be caused by an illness like measles or chickenpox. Eczema and hives, both of which are associated with allergies, are two of the foremost common sorts of skin rashes. If your skin condition is that the results of an allergy, an allergist can diagnose and treat your condition, so you'll live life to the fullest.
