Lymph Tissue Research Articles

Lymphatic tissue: a neighborhood of the body's system that helps protects it from bacteria and other foreign entities. Lymphoid tissue is rich in lymphocytes (and accessory cells like macrophages and reticular cells). The cells of the lymph are mostly lymphocytes. Associated lymphoid organs are composed of lymphatic tissue. They’re mentioned as mucosa‐associated lymphatic tissue (MALT). The bone marrow and thymus are primary lymphoid tissues and therefore the sites of lymphocyte development. The lymph nodes, spleen, tonsils and Peyer's patches. Located in almost every tissue within the body, these vessels are interlaced among the arterioles and venules of the cardiovascular system within the soft connective tissues the systema lymphaticum is a component of the system. With about 600 nodes and a huge network of vessels penetrating nearly every tissue. Secondary lymphoid organs, like spleen, lymph nodes, Peyer's patches, and other mucosa-associated lymphoid tissues.
