Criminology is the systematic study of offense, including its grounds, reactions by law implementation, and methods of anticipation. It is a sub-group of sociology, which is the technical study of communal behaviour. There are many grounds of study that are used in the arena of criminology, including ecology, figures, sensibility, psychoanalysis, finances, and anthropology. The formation of criminology as a field of education can be followed as far back as the 18th period, when two social truth-seekers, Cesare Beccaria in Italy and Jeremy Bentham in England, each pushed the idea that the penalty should be so severe that the illegal would decide that the preference of the illegal act would not be value the pain of the retribution. This was known as the conventional school of criminology.
