Childhood Obesity Open Access

Childhood obesity may be a serious medical condition that affects children and adolescents. kids who are obese are on top of the normal weight for his or her age and height. Childhood obesity is especially troubling because the additional pounds often start children on the trail to health issues that were once considered adult problems — diabetes, high blood pressure and high sterol. several obesity children become obese adults, especially if one or each parents are obese. Childhood obesity may also result in poor self-esteem and depression. Childhood obesity has reached epidemic levels in developed as well as in developing countries. Overweight and obesity in childhood are known to have vital impact on each physical and psychological health. Overweight and obesity children are possible to remain obese into adulthood and more likely to develop non-communicable diseases like diabetes and vessel diseases at a younger age. although weight problems run in families, not all kids with a case history of obesity are overweight. children whose parents or brothers or sisters are overweight may be at an increased risk of becoming overweight themselves, but this may be linked to shared family behaviors such as eating and activity habits.
