A neoplasm is a type of abnormal and excessive growth, are known as   neoplasia, about  tissue. The growth is characterized by the neoplasm is uncoordinated and it consist of normal surrounded tissue, and persists in growing abnormally, even when  the original trigger has been removed. That abnormal growth usually forms a mass, when it can be called a tumor. ICD-10 is  classified as  neoplasms into four main groups  they are  benign neoplasms, in situ neoplasms, malignant neoplasms, and neoplasms of uncertain. Malignant neoplasms are also called as cancers and are the focus about  oncology. Preceding  to this abnormal growth of tissue, as neoplasia, cells generally undergo an abnormal pattern of growth, like as metaplasia or dysplasia.
