Trace Organic Analysis Scholarly Journal

The emergence and therefore the fate of organic compounds in environmental, food, and biological samples have resulted in increased public concern because these compounds have the capacity to supply adverse health effects and have a negative influence on human life. this text presents an summary of the applicability of large-volume sample injection (LVSI) in column-switching high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) systems for the trace analysis of organic compounds (i.e., pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, pharmaceuticals, illegal food additives, toxins, and other organic contaminants) in several matrices (i.e., environmental, food and biological) as an alternate approach to preconcentrating and lowering the bounds of detection of chromatographic methods.

Trace organic analysis are for organic compounds present at or below the part-per-thousand level during a sample. The analysis provides the identity (qualitative result) and therefore the amount (quantitative result). The challenge is to perform the analysis under conditions where the relative amounts of other substances within the sample are vastly greater than that of the analyte. Oftenly it becomes necessary to separate the analyte from the majority of the opposite substances like potential interferences, within the sample for e.g.matrix, before a final determination (amount) are often accomplished. Generally, the ultimate determination involves a final separation/detection.
