Scheuermann Disease

Scheuermann's disease may be a self-limiting skeletal disorder of childhood. Scheuermann's disease defines a state where the vertebrae grow irregularly with reference to the sagittal plane; that is, the posterior angle is generally greater than the anterior. This uneven growth leads to the signature "wedging" shape of the vertebrae, causing kyphosis. It’s named after Danish surgeon Holger Scheuermann. Scheuermann's disease is taken into account to be a sort of juvenile osteochondrosis of the spine. It found mostly in teenagers and presents a significantly worse deformity than postural kyphosis. The apex of their curve, located within the thoracic vertebrae, is sort of rigid. Scheuermann's disease is infamous for producing lower and mid-level neck and back pain, which may be spartan and disabling. The sufferer may feel pain at the apex of the curve, which is aggravated by physical activity and by periods of standing or sitting; this will have a significantly harmful effect to their lives as their level of movement is restricted by their incapacity.
