Respiratory Viral Infections More Open Access Journals

 

Respiratory infections are prevalent worldwide and viral diarrhea as the leading cause of death in developing countries Unlike pathogens restricted to tropical areas, the respiratory viruses are distributed globally, is efficiently transmitted from person to person, and have an impact on all age groups. In impoverished urban populations in South America, ARI symptoms may be present on an almost continuous basis, making it difficult to determine symptom-free days and estimate attack rates. Symptoms of a viral respiratory infection coughing, sneezing, runny nose, sore throat, fever, trouble breathing. The person may also have a headache or sore muscles, people may feel tired.

Viral respiratory infections are spread by touching:

  Mucus from the nose or mouth of a person who has the virus.   Soiled tissues body part of a person with the virus has touched.   The unwashed hands of a person with the virus.
