Radiation therapy is also known as a radiotherapy is a therapy using of ionizing radiation, commonly as a part of cancer treatment to control or kill malignant cells and normally delivered by a linear accelerator.  Radiation therapy can be curative in a number of types of cancer if they are localized to one area of the body. Radiotherapy uses are radiation, like as x-rays, gamma rays, electron beams or protons, to kill or damage cancer cells and  it stops them from growing and multiplying. It is a localised treatment,  that means it generally only affects the part of the body where the radiation is directed. Primary spinal canal tumors are a diverse group of neoplasms which constitutes 4% of all central nervous system tumors.
