Pollution Diseases In Industries

The health effects of air pollution are serious – one third of deaths from lung cancer, stroke and heart disease are due to air pollution. This is having an equal effect to that of smoking tobacco, and much higher than, say, the effects of eating too much salt. Air pollution is hard to flight, no matter how rich an area you live in. It is all around us. Air pollution is directly linked to climate change - the main cause of climate change is fossil fuel combustion which is also a main contributor to air pollution - and efforts to reduce can improve the other. More than 500 sites were found to be polluted by lead, putting an estimated 16 million people at risk. The report said that the top sources of lead pollution are lead smelting, mining and ore processing, industrial estates and lead-acid battery recycling and manufacturing. The pollutants emitted from industrial complexes enter human body through the respiratory system or skin causing allergic reactions, respiratory symptoms, and various acute and chronic diseases, such as chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases, asthma, lung dysfunctions, eye diseases and skin acute bronchitis, cardiovascular disease, and cancer.
