Pneumoniae Journals

Klebsiella pneumonia liver abscess (KLA) is an emerging infectious disease in developed countries like the US. This is often particularly common within the East Asians living within the US who has other comorbid medical problems, especially DM. Metastatic infections involving non-contiguous areas originating from Klebsiella pneumoniae liver abscess are documented as being the causal source for endophthalmitis, brain abscess, lung abscess, psoas abscess, splenic abscess and septic arthritis. The incidence of metastatic infection within the setting of KLA is above in liver abscesses of the other bacterial origin. It happens when an infection causes the air sacs in your lungs (call them alveoli) to fill with fluid or pus, which will create it hard for you to gasp sufficient oxygen to succeed in your bloodstream.
