Microscopic Polyangitis
Blood vessel inflammation which results in damage to organ systems is Microscopic polyangiitis. Most commonly areas affected by Microscopic Polyangitis includes kidneys, lung, nerves, skin, and joints. Microscopic Polyangitis has similar features with vasculitis called granulomatosis. a general term that refers to inflammation of the blood vessels is Vasculitis. The blood vessel may become weakened and stretch, when inflamed, forming an aneurysm, or become so thin that it ruptures and results in bleeding into the tissue. Blood vessel narrowing to the point of closing off the vessel entirely is Vasculitis. This cause organs to become damaged from loss of oxygen and nutrients.
