Human-robot Interactions

Human-Robot Interaction (HRI) is a field of study dedicated to undrestand, structuring, and assessing automated systems for use by or with people. Interactionn, by definition, requires correspondence among robots and people. Communication between a human and a robot may take a several forms, however these forms are to a great extent affected by whether the human and the robot are in closeness to one another or not. Thus, communication and, accordingly, collaboration can be isolated into two general classes:

Remote communication – The human and the robot are not co-found and are located spatially or even transiently (for instance, the Mars Rovers are isolated from earth both in existence). Proximate collaborations – The people and the robots are co-located (for instance, administration robots might be in a similar room as people).
