Dentures are recognized as false teeth are prosthetic devices built to replace missing teeth, and are supported by the oral cavity 's surrounding soft and hard tissues. Conventional dentures are removable, but there are many denture designs, some relying on teeth or dental implants being bonded or clasped. There are two major types of dentures consisting of the difference being that they are used on the mandibular arch or on the maxillary arch to replace missing teeth. Dentures no longer feel like real teeth, nor act as true teeth. Dentures can help people improve the ability to masticate or chew by replacing edentulous areas with denture teeth. The general dentist's ability to inspire and educate the patient about oral hygiene can influence the effectiveness of partial dentures.
