Cardiogenic shock (CS) may be a common explanation for mortality, and management remains challenging despite advances in therapeutic options. Cardiogenic shock is caused by severe impairment of myocardial performance that results in diminished cardiac output, end‐organ hypoperfusion, and hypoxia.
