It also strives to promote scientific research in various aspects of transplantation and to establish the highest ethical standards in transplantation. It works to disseminate knowledge and information amongst the general public in relation to transplantation. It encourages new transplant centers in the country. One of its chief activities is to create public awareness regarding organ donation especially deceased donation and transplantation. ISOT also prints, publishes, distributes, and sells books, pamphlets, pictures, periodicals, newspapers, magazines in print or electronic form, or any other material concerning the specialty of organ transplantation.
