Protein separation techniques are supported the widely different chemical, physical and biological properties of varied protein molecules. the amount and complexity of those techniques are rapidly increasing as our understanding of protein molecules expands. Currently, many specialized column materials to be used in chromatographic separation of proteins are commercially available. sophisticated fraction collection and protein detection equipment is getting used to facilitate protein separation. the aim of this review is to briefly outline several the common methods currently getting used for separating proteins. It should be emphasized that the massive and rapidly growing technology related to protein separation can't be adequately covered during this brief review. Consequently, it's intended to supply a base of data from which interested readers can expand their studies of specific protein separation techniques. Protein purification or separation may be a series of processes intended to isolate one or few proteins from a posh mixture. Protein purification is important for the characterization of the function, structure and interaction of the protein of interest.
