Cervical Cancer

The cervix is the neck of the womb. It is lined by a membrane of cells that can change and become abnormal. If left, these cells can sometimes become cancerous and grow into tumours. The risk of getting cancer is linked to age, genetic background and lifestyle.Cervical Cancer occurs when anomalous cells on the cervix develop wild. It is normally found at an early stage through a Pap test.It was found that the perceived susceptibility to cervical cancer was significantly associated with cervical cancer screening. Most infected women have no symptoms, so without testing, it’s impossible to know if you’re at risk.

Other lifestyle factors are also linked to cervical cancer but this may be because they are also associated with an increased risk of HPV infection
