The liver usually weighs between 1.3—3.0 kilograms and may be a soft, pinkish-brown organ. it's the second-largest organ within the body, and is found on the proper aspect of the abdomen. It also produces bile, that is important for digestion. The liver is provided by 2 main blood vessels on its right lobe: the arteria and therefore the portal vein. The portal vein brings blood from the spleen, pancreas, and small intestine in order that the liver will method the nutrients and byproducts of food digestion.
