Tuberculosis

Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease normally caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) bacteria.  Most infections don’t show symptoms, in which case it is known as latent tuberculosis. About 10% of latent infections growth to active disease which, if left untreated, kills about half of those affected. The classic symptoms of active TB are a chronic cough with blood-containing mucusfevernight sweats, and weight loss. It was normally called "consumption" due to the weight loss. Infection of other organs can reason a wide range of symptoms. Three of the four different types of influenza viruses affect humans: Type A, Type B, and Type C.
