Substrate Specificity Open Access Journals

Certain enzymes bind to the convinced substrates only. There are 4 types of specificity; they are absolute specificity, collection specificity, linkage specificity and stereo chemical specificity dependent on their steric sites, quantity of reactions they experience, groups, type of bond they form. The substrate is moderately smaller than the enzyme. Consequently, the substrate is binding with a helping of the enzyme. The substrate is involved to the enzyme with weak bonding militaries such as hydrogen bond, electrostatic exchanges, and dipole-dipole interactions. The substrates are typically complementary to the enzymes. Though, it is possible that they do not fit effortlessly each other. These bonding forces support the complex to be extra stable. In the case of two substrate reactions connecting ternary complex, two substrates must be certain close to each other to precede the response. It is impossible to precede the reaction if two substrates are not end-to-end or close each additional spatially. From the case, the enzyme should have certain steric specificity.
