Restless Legs Syndrome

Restless legs syndrome (RLS) is a condition that origin an uncontrollable urge to move your legs, usually because of painful sensation. It happens in the evening or nighttime hours when you are sitting or lying down. Moving eases, the unpleasant feeling for the moment. Restless legs syndrome, also familiar as Willis-Ekbom disease, can begin at any age and generally worsens as you age. It can disrupt sleep, which interferes with daily activities. Simple self-care steps and lifestyle changes may help relieve sign. Medications also help many people with RLS. The chief symptom is wish to move the legs. Common accompanying characteristics of RLS include: 1. Sensations that begin after rest. The sensation begins after you have been lying down or sitting   for an extended time, such as in a car, airplane or movie theater. Relief with movement. 2. The sensation of RLS lessens with movement, such as stretching, jiggling your legs, walking or pacing. Worsening of symptoms in the evening. 3. Symptoms happen mainly at night. 4. Night time leg twitching. RLS can be associated with another, common condition called periodic limb movement of sleep, which causes your legs to twitch and kick, possibly in the night, while you sleep.
