Respiratory Tract Infections Research Articles
Most causes of intense respiratory infection aren’t treatable. Therefore, prevention is the best method to ward off harmful respiratory infections. Getting the measles, mumps, and rubella and pertussis vaccine will substantially lower your risk of getting a respiratory infection. Clinical trials do not support using routine rapid viral testing to decrease antibiotic use for children in emergency diverges. It is unclear if rapid viral testing in the emergency department for children with acute febrile respiratory infections reduces the rates of antibiotic use, blood testing, and also urine testing. The relative risk reduction of chest x-ray usage in children screened with rapid viral testing is 77% compared with controls.
