55. Orchids
The Orchids are different among flowering plants, which are colorful with fragrant that are commonly known as the orchid family. Along with these Asteraceae, they are one of the two largest families of flowering plants. The Orchidaceae must be about 28,000 currently accepted species, distributed in about 763 genera. The determination of the family is larger under debate, because verified data on the members of such enormous families are continually in flux. Regardless, the number of orchid species is nearly equal to the number of bony fishes, more than the twice the number of bird species, and about four times the number of mammal species. Orchids are familiar from other plants, as they share derived characteristics. Among these are: bilateral symmetry of the flower many recuperate flowers, are highly modified petal, fused stamens and carpels, and extremely small seeds.
