Online Journals Of Clinical Trials

Both the web and clinical trials were significant developments within the latter half the 20 th century: the web revolutionized global communications and therefore the randomized controlled trial provided a way to conduct an unbiased comparison of two or more treatments. Large multicenter trials are often burdened with an in depth development time and considerable expense, also as significant challenges in obtaining, backing up and analyzing large amounts of knowledge . Alongside the increasing complexities of the fashionable clinical test has grown the facility of the web to enhance communications, centralize and secure data also on distribute information. As more and more clinical trials are required to coordinate multiple trial processes in real time, centers are turning to the web for the tools to manage the components of a clinical test , either in whole or partially , to supply lower costs and faster results. This paper reviews the historical development of the web and therefore the randomized controlled trial, describes the web resources available which will be utilized in a clinical test , reviews some samples of online trials and describes the benefits and drawbacks of using the web to conduct a clinical test . We also extract the characteristics of the 5 largest clinical trials conducted using the web so far , which together enrolled over 26000 patients.
