Mobile Hotel Management Research

In the recent times, mobile technology has shaken up many industries including travel and hospitality unlike any other innovation in quite some time. Mobile technology allows hoteliers to provide guests with a certain measure of control over their stay such as self-serve check-in, checkout, room access and atmosphere controls, such as lighting and heating, and some offer home away from home entertainment options. Mobile devices have brought many changes to the hospitality industry. Travelers are using mobile web browser application for searching travel information through their mobile devices. In response, many hospitality companies have responded to these trends by using mobile applications as a marketing channel to communicate with their customers, thus allowing customers to purchase products and services using mobiles. Many hotels have also adopted mobile applications as a market channel to reach their potential customers and establish direct relationship with them. Study revealed that perspective of both consumers and hotels on the emergence of mobile applications as a marketing communication tool. Now-a-days mobile applications are used to make the hotel booking in some situations such as unplanned trips or last-minute booking because it is the most convenient way to perform.
