Livestock Production Natural Resourse Management

Production of Livestock in tropics which are less-developed and continue to be one of the important economical and social activities of human culture. In tropics, directly or indirectly hundreds of millions of people depend on livestock-based activities; the analysis is complex and multi-sectorial. Many technical and economic endeavours, at international levels, attempted to raise animal production and productivity in these areas. Studies revealed that the lack of understanding the ecological, socio-economic and cultural limitations inherent in tropics, which affect severely the application of conventional development models. There are also many opportunities for sustainable development in these regions. The role of livestock in developing countries is unique.
