HIV Diagnosis Open Access Journals
Blood tests are the foremost common thanks to diagonise HIV. These tests search for antibodies to the virus that the body creates in an effort to fight the virus.
Exposed people to the virus must get tested immediately, although it can take the time with body anywhere from six weeks upto a year for developing antibodies to the virus. Follow-up tests could also be needed counting on the initial time of exposure.
Early testing is crucial. If you test positive for the virus, you and your doctor will discuss and develop a treatment plan which will help fight HIV and keep off complications. Early testing can also provide you with a warning to avoid high-risk behavior which will spread the virus to others.
Most health care providers offer HIV testing, often with appropriate counseling. Anonymous and free testing also is available. During testing, your doctor will ask about your symptoms, medical record and risk factors, and perform a physical examination.
