Heridity Impact Factor

Heredity, also called inheritance or biological inheritance, is that the passing on of traits from parents to their offspring; either through agamogenesis or amphimixis , the offspring cells or organisms acquire the genetic information of their parents. Through heredity, variations between individuals can accumulate and cause species to evolve by survival. The study of heredity in biology is genetics. These traits are often physical, like eye colour, blood group or a disease, or behavioural. For example, the hygienic behaviour of honeybees that drives them to get rid of sick larvae from the nest is inherited behaviour.

Hereditary traits are determined by genes, and one gene can have several variants called alleles. There are two copies of every gene in our cells (with the exception of genes located on sex chromosomes). The top journals are peer reviewed scholarly journals. These provide high quality, meticulously reviewed and rapid publication, to cater the insistent need of scientific community. These journals are indexed with all their citations noted. The top open access journals are indexed in MEDLINE, PUBMED, SCOPUS, COPERNICUS, CAS, EBSCO and ISI.
