Hereditary Colorectal Open Access Journals

Hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer is characterized by autosomal dominant genetic condition combined with high risk of colon cancer along with endometrial cancer, ovary, stomach , small intestine, hepatobiliary tract, upper urinary tract , skin and brain. There are multiple hereditary disorders and has a major chance of colon cancer. 15-50 per cent of colorectal cancers are estimated to be familial. One gene has a combination of genes, or a combination of genetic and environmental factors can cause colorectal cancer in the family. These families typically include one or two members who have a history of colorectal cancer or precancerous polyps. Inherited colorectal cancers mix in a cancer susceptibility gene with a genetic mutation.
