Febrile Urinary Tract Infection Open Access Articles
Febrile urinary tract infection is one of the most serious bacterial infections about children next to respiratory diseases. Whenever left unrecognized and untreated it may leads to scarring of the kidneys followed by the subsequent hypertension and renal failure. Accurate diagnosis and early treatment is most essential. The quick and readily available diagnostic test kits which helps in the early diagnosis that decreases the extent of renal scarring and subsequent complications as well as the hypertension and renal failure. Complicated infections of the urinary tract (UTI) which includes pyelonephritis and urosepsis are also called as Febrile urinary tract infection. The majority (over 70-80%) of Febrile urinary tract infection during childhood is known to appear in the first year of life with a male predominance Infants.
