Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) is a chronic, long-lasting disease in which someone has unwanted recurring mind and repeated activities. The signs contain obsessions, compulsions, overvalued thoughts and cognitive performance. Activities include counting things, washing hands, aggressive thoughts. The risk factors consist of genetics, environment, brain shape and function. Treatment and therapy involve medicine and psychotherapy.
