Bacillus Thuringiensis Scholarly Journal
Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) is a natural occurring, soil-borne, soil-dwelling, Gram-positive bacterium commonly used as a biological pesticide and is commonly used in organic farming. Bt is also the source of the genes used to genetically transform a number of food crops so that they produce the toxin on their own to deter various insect pests. Bacillus thuringiensis kurstaki most widely used strain of Bt, kills larvae of different types of moths and butterflies. Bacillus thuringiensis is not toxic to humans or other mammals but is toxic to certain insects when ingested. Over two decades of review, the EPA and numerous scientific bodies have consistently found that Bt and engineered Bt-crops are not harmful to humans. Bacillus thuringiensis journal includes a wide range of fields in its discipline to create a platform for the authors to make their contribution towards the journal and the editorial office promises peer reviewing for the submitted manuscripts to ensure quality. The journal is using Editorial Tracking System for quality in online manuscript submission, review and tracking.
