Alopecia areata can happen at any age yet most cases first create in youngsters and kids. Guys and females are similarly influenced in more youthful age bunches yet those influenced later on are fundamentally ladies. alopecia or baldness is excessive loss of hair from the head or body. The two main causes are:

Family history: the most common cause is heredity condition called male-pattern baldness.

Hormonal changes: temporary hair loss as seen in pregnancy, child birth or the onset of menopause and thyroid diseases.

Alopecia areata is a common disorder that causes hair loss. "Alopecia" is a Latin term that means baldness, and "areata" refers to the patchy nature of the hair loss that is typically seen with this condition. Uncommonly, the hair loss involves the entire scalp (in which case the condition is known as alopecia totalis) or the whole body (alopecia universalis).
