Vascular lesions are among the most common congenital and neonatal abnormalities. These anomalies may happen throughout the whole body, with 60%, although, even located in the head and neck region possibly due to its intricate vascular anatomy of region. There is a large confusion in the literature due to the use of confusing illustrative terminology for the similar vascular entity and eponyms. Correct naming of lesion, appropriate classification, and clinical appearance of vascular lesions have a direct impact on understanding of etiologies of these complex lesions, diagnosis, and in treating patients. Therefore, the goal of this article is to give comprehensive knowledge about classifications and to have an insight of several important vascular lesions affecting head and neck region on the basis of its pathogenesis, clinical presentation and management.
