Trace Organic Analysis Research Articles
Trace organic analysis is for organic compounds present at or below the part-per-thousand level during a sample. The analysis provides the identity (qualitative result) and therefore the amount (quantitative result). The challenge is to perform the analysis under conditions where the relative amounts of other substances within the sample are vastly greater than that of the analyte. Often it becomes necessary to separate the analyte from the majority of the opposite substances like potential interferences, within the sample for e.g.matrix, before a final determination (amount) are often accomplished. Generally, the ultimate determination involves a final separation/detection.
