Robotic-surgery-Articles-open-access
A robotic surgical procedure improved to overcome the limitations of pre-existing minimally-invasive surgical procedures and also to improve the capabilities of surgeons performing open surgery. In case of robotically-assisted minimally-invasive surgery, direct telemanipulator or through computer control is used by the surgeons. In computer-controlled system, there is no need of surgeon and surgeon uses computer to control the robotic arms and its end-effectors, using of telemanipulators for their input. An advantage of this method is surgeon does not have to be present, which leads to the possibility for remote surgery. Surgeons at initially published case series suggesting various techniques and the feasibility of GI surgery with the usage of the robotic devices.
