Research Crisis Management

Crisis management is the process by which an organization deals with a disrupting and unpredicted event that threatens to harm the organization, its stakeholders or the general public. Bernstein emphasizes that crisis management is not a single activity. There are several levels of activity, like crisis prevention, planning, training, response and recovery. Crisis management can be divided into three phases: (a) pre-crisis, (b) crisis response and (c) post-crisis. The pre-crisis phase is concerned with preparation and prevention. Crisis Management Team is to manage events and ensure appropriate actions are carried out based on current impacts of the event, as well as potential risks and impacts.
