Radiation Cystitis Review Articles

Radiation cystitis is a impediment of radiation therapy to pelvic tumors. The urinary bladder can be irradiated deliberately for the treatment of bladder cancer or incidentally for the treatment of other pelvic malignancies. Manifestation of radiation cystitis can range from minor, temporary, irritative danger symptoms and painless, microscopic hematuria to more severe complication, such as gross hematuria; contracted, nonfunctional bladder; persistent incontinence; fistula formation; necrosis; and death . Radiation cystitis is the inflammation of the bladder due to exposure from radiation treatments. Review articles are the summary of current state of understanding on a particular research topic. They analyze or discuss research previously published by scientist and academicians rather than reporting novel research results.
