Performance Management Open Acesss Jurnals

Performance management requires the participation of both parties to the process; the manager and the employee. It can be defined as the constant communication between the organization's position of work, needed revisions or changes, and reflection on performance to improve future efforts. Performance management is not alone in the annual review. The effectiveness of performance-management activity suffers from a long time period where there is no communication. The best processes supply ongoing, nearly immediate review and feedback, timely corrections, flexibility, and training focusing on addressing accepted weaknesses. Contiguous, ongoing performance management can take the “financial” aspect out of the performance-management process except for, perhaps, the scheduled annual and semiannual review.
