Nursing Awareness

In the prevention and control of surgical site infections or SSI's, nurses play an significant role as they perform a high proportion of surgical patient diagnosis and care. Sterile methodology plays an important role in monitoring and avoiding the contamination of SSIs and surgical sites. Outstanding knowledge on sterile procedure concepts / principles. however, between knowledge and degree of sterile technique practice. Findings indicate positive relation between awareness and application of sterile technique.Self-awareness is important for nurses' personal and professional growth, for the creation of an effective nurse-patient relationship and for the advancement of nursing skills Despite its role in the relationship between nursing and therapeutic nurse-patients and its changing existence, the knowledge base for self-awareness in nursing is still under-examined.
