Newcastle Disease
The vaccine is recommended as an aid in the prevention of Newcastle disease for administration to safe chickens. The vaccine is prescribed by administration of drinking water or aerosol spray for the vaccination of healthy chickens 14 days of age or older. The vaccine with spray is recommended only for revaccination. Revaccination is recommended at 4 weeks and age 16.Since the Newcastle disease virus can cause inflammation of the human eyelids for up to three days, precaution should be taken to prevent eye, hand and clothing infection with the vaccine. The ability of such vaccines to yield adequate results depends on several factors including, but not limited to, user storage and handling conditions, vaccine administration, safety and individual animal sensitivity, and the degree of field exposure.
