Neonatal Sepsis Peer Review Journals

Neonatal sepsis is a type of a  neonatal infection and specially  it refers to the presence in a new born baby of a bacterial blood stream infection (BSI) such as meningitis, pyelonephritis, or gastroenteritis, pneumonia in the setting of fever. Neonatal sepsis is a blood infection that appears in an infant younger than 90 days old. Early-onset sepsis can be examine in the first week of life. It occurs after 1 week and before 3 months of age. Neonatal sepsis may caused by bacteria such as Escherichia coli (E.coli), Listeria, and some strains of streptococcus. The herpes virus may also cause a severe infection in a newborn baby.
