Neonatal Infections Scholarly Peer Review Journal
These neonatal infections may occurs at delivery time and also from external sources after birth. In case of any utero infection, infection may occurs before birth consequences and it depends on the time of infection, spontaneous abortion, premature birth. Newborns are particularly affected to certain diseases, much more so than older children and adults. The new immune systems aren't adequately developed to fight the bacteria, viruses, and parasites that cause these infections. A marked change in a baby's behavior, like as suddenly sleeping all the time or not sleeping much at all, can also be an indication that something isn't right. The Common viral agents are herpes virus, hepatitis B, unless virus transmits transplacentally. Bacterial agents which includes streptococci, enteric gram negative organisms.
