Malignancy Open Access Articles
A term for diseases in which abnormal cells divide without control and may invade nearby tissues. Malignant cells may also spread to other elements of the body through the blood and lymph systems. There are many main kinds of malignancy. carcinoma could be a malignancy that begins within the skin or in tissues that line or cowl internal organs. sarcoma could be a malignancy that begins in bone, cartilage, fat, muscle, blood vessels, or alternative connective or supportive tissue. Leukemia could be a malignancy that begins in blood-forming tissue, like the bone marrow, and causes too several abnormal blood cells to be created. Lymphoma and multiple myeloma ar malignancies that begin within the cells of the immune system. Central nervous system cancers are malignancies that begin within the tissues of the brain and medulla spinalis. also known as cancer.
