Malaria Prophylaxis

More than 125 million people visit more than 100 countries endemic for malaria. This year it estimate that up to 30 000 travelers to contract malaria each year and late or wrong malaria diagnosis in their home country can may make things worse for them. despite decades of research, there is no vaccine available for malaria protection there is a need for an alternative method that offers a fairly dependable protection against malaria. Anti malarial drugs offer the protection against clinical attacks of malaria .The risk of contracting malaria depends on the region visited, the length of stay, , type of activity, time of visit protection against the mosquito bites, compliance with chemoprophylaxis etc. these people should take firm precautions to avoid the mosquito bites and also take tolerable chemoprophylaxis without fail.
