Journalism Review Articles

Journalism is the activity of gathering, assessing, creating, and presenting reports on current or past events. The term journalism applies to the occupation, as well as citizen journalists who gather and publish information. Journalistic media include television, print, Internet, radio and in the past, newsreels. Each journalistic form and style uses diverse techniques and writes for different purposes and audiences. There are five principal types of journalism: news investigative, columns, reviews and feature writing. Journalists can face brutality and threats for exercising their fundamental right to freedom of expression. The range of threats they are confronted to include kidnapping, murder, hostage-taking, online and offline harassment, intimidation, enforced disappearances, arbitrary detention and torture. Review article comes in the form of systematic reviews and literature reviews and are a form of secondary literature. Precise reviews determine an objective list of criteria, and find all previously published original research papers that meet the criteria. They then compare the results introduced in these papers. Literature reviews, on the other hand, provide a summary of what the authors believe are the best and generally pertinent earlier publications.
