High Impact Factor Journals In Cytogenetics

Cytogenetics is a department of genetics that concentrates on the study of the structure and function of the genetic material specifically the chromosomes. Techniques for example Fluorescent in situ Hybridization (FISH) and Comparative Genomic Hybridization (CGH) are generally employed cytogenetic analysis. Cytogenetic analyses in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) have showed a wide range of non-random chromosome abnormalities. In several cases, molecular studies of these abnormalities determined particular genes implicated in the process of leukemogenesis. The most frequent chromosome aberrations were connected with specific laboratory and clinical characteristics, and are currently utilized as diagnostic and prognostic markers directing the clinician in selecting the majority of effective therapies.
