Free-floating Thrombus

A free floating thrombus is an expanded thrombus attached to the arterial wall with circumferential blood flow at the distal aspect. Atherosclerosis is reported into the most common etiology. A thrombus, colloquially known as  a blood clot, It is the final product of the blood coagulation step in hemostasis. There are two components to a thrombus they are  aggregated platelets and red blood cells this  forms a plug, and a mesh about  a cross-linked fibrin protein. The substance composing up a thrombus is sometimes called  as  cruor. A thrombus is a healthy response to injury intended to avoid bleeding, but may  be harmful in thrombosis, when clots obstruct blood flow over  healthy blood vessels.
